I took this course to upskill in sustainable construction as someone who’s been working in Mexico’s growing green building sector for 5 years. I’d always struggled with explaining the long-term benefits of sustainable materials to clients, but the tools and templates provided here made it so much easier. The final project required us to design a sustainable construction plan for a hypothetical project, and I chose a residential complex in Monterrey. The feedback from the instructors was constructive and pushed me to think critically about real-world constraints like budget and local regulations. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that some of the software tools mentioned (like SimaPro) required additional licenses, which wasn’t budget-friendly. Still, the knowledge gained was worth it.
